As the daughter of a middle-class clergy-man, Margaret Hale had enjoyed a privileged upbringing in rural southern England. All I can say is: Well done Heather! and thank you so much for letting me use this video! This song is so passonate and don't even get me started talking on the movie! Anyway, see for yourself! I think this video shows North and South in three minutes better than anything else I have ever seen! If you love period dramas you have been derprived it you have not seen BBC's North and South.

Hey! I love your blog, you have almost all of my favorites. And my all-time fav North & South. I've been on the fence about whether i preferred it to Pride and Prejudice, and I'm sorry to say p&p lost by a tiny bit. I think Mr. Thornton is the epitome of what Mr. Darcy is and I also think that the story is a bit deeper as far as the class struggle theme behind the actual love story.One of my all time favorite books, and def my favorite period drama. I can't wait to see what you do next. Might I suggest the Cathrine Cookson Anthology? Cheers!
